BEER
Ale Smith, Anvil Ale ESB… 8
Anvil ESB Ale was the first beer produced when the Ale Smith brewery opened, and remains their flagship ale. Bright copper color with light tan head. Malty slightly hoppy aroma. Caramel and malty flavors with a perfect balance of imported English hops.
Tripel Karmeliet… 10
Tripel Karmeliet is still brewed to an authentic beer recipe from 1679 originating in the former Carmelite monastery in Dendermonde. Written over 300 years ago, this recipe describes the use of 3 kinds of grains: wheat, oats & barley. The name Tripel Karmeliet thus refers both to its origin and its in-bottle re-fermentation. From many trial brews of multi-grain tripels at the Bosteels Brewery in the 1990’s, it appears that the particular historic combination of the 3 kinds of grain remains the ideal blend. In 2008 Tripel Karmeliet was awarded Best Ale at the World Beer Awards.
Stone, Pale Ale… 6
Stone’s flagship ale, Stone Pale Ale is the Southern California interpretation of the classic British pale ale style. Deep amber in color, Stone Pale Ale is robust and full flavored. A delicate hop aroma is complemented by a rich maltiness. This is an ale for those who have learned to appreciate distinctive flavor. Stone Pale Ale is great by itself, or with food that requires a beer of character.
